چکیده

N-(2-Acetyl-4-bromophenyl)-4-methylbenzenesulfonamide (2) was transformed into 5-(4-methoxymethylstyryl)-2-(p-tolylsulfonamido)acetophenone (3a) and 5-(4- trifluoromethylstyryl)-2-(p-tolylsulfonamido)acetophenone (3b). Their structures were determined using a combination of NMR (1H & 13C) mass spectroscopic as well single crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. These compounds the corresponding precursor, 2-amino-5-bromoacetophenone (1), evaluated through enzymatic assays in vitro for inhibitory effect against acetylcholinesterase (AChE) butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) activities antioxidant 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) nitric oxide (NO) free radical scavenging assays. Molecular docking performed on 3a to determine plausible protein–ligand interactions molecular level. drug likeness properties (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion) ability cross blood–brain barrier (BBB) have also been predicted at theoretical

Synthesis and Antidiabetic Evaluation of Benzenesulfonamide Derivatives

The complex metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus, is a major human health concern in the world and is estimated to affect 300 million people by the year 2025. Several drugs such as sulfonylureas and biguanides are presently available to reduce hyperglycemia in diabetes mellitus. These drugs have side effects and thus searching for a new class of compounds is essential to overcome this problems...

Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of 4-hydroxychromenyl arylmethyl-6-hydroxy pyrimidine-2, 4-dione Derivatives

Background: An efficient, promoted tri-component catalytic reaction between barbituric acid (or N,N-dimethyl barbituric acid), 4-hydroxy coumarin, and a wide range of aryl aldehydes using zinc oxide nanowires (ZnO NWs) to obtain some new 4-hydroxychromenylarylmethyl-6-hydroxypyrimidine-2,4-diones is described. Method: The reactants were successfully condensed ...
